Pulling on your heartstrings

Date

You may have noticed that bidorbuy.co.za is currently hosting two charity listings. Both deserve your attention.

The first is an auction for a hand-crafted dinner set by Julian Keyser Ceramics. The beautiful ceramics from Julian’s studio are highly sought after both locally and abroad.

If you are the winning bidder, you will be amply rewarded for your winning bid. Julian will make a dinner set for eight, plus serving dishes, with the design you choose, out of twenty six available designs.

The bidding for the set, valued at R8000, starts from R500. The profits are for Radio Tygerberg, and your winning bid is seen as a donation to this non-profit organisation (which means that it is tax deductable; Radio Tygerberg will issue you with a Form 18A ).

The second is a raffle listing by Epilepsy SA. It is a part of the “Building True Potential” campaign that aims to create awareness about epilepsy and raise funds for helping people with epilepsy and other disabilities.

Your donation of only R20 enables Epilepsy SA to keep up with its good work, and gives you a chance to win one of three fantastic prizes:

Fist prize: One full 1oz Kruger Rand (valued at about R9,500) with certificate of authenticity

Second prize: A Campmaster trailer (for the overload on the long road!)

Third prize: A set of Fossil watches, his and hers (yes, that’s two watches!)

So, bidorbuyers, dig into your pockets!

Buy a raffle ticket. Even if you do not win, you can take pleasure in the knowledge that your money is well spent.

Then go on to place a bid on the exclusive hand-made dinner set. Even better, make sure to place the highest bid. An opportunity like time comes your way only once in a while!
