Find the perfect gift this Valentine’s Day

Date

Just a quick PSA: you definitely don’t need to be in a relationship to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Whether you’re going on a first date, curling up on the couch with your friends or going for dinner with your significant other, there’s always a reason to celebrate love, life and laughter.

But, since the stakes are high on February 14th, the pressure is on to find the perfect gift – something unique, thoughtful and not at all cheesy. Our tip: shop our Valentine’s Day catalogue.

You make me melt

Let’s start with something traditional… Chocolates have been considered an aphrodisiac since the time of the Aztecs. Chocolate is said to inflame desire and make your partner more open to romance – what more could you ask for? Nothing screams romance more than these heavenly Lindt Strawberry and Cream chocolate truffles.

Drunk in love

Other consumables like alcohol are perfect for Valentine’s Day whether you decide to drink them together or give them as a gift. Opening up a bottle of wine is the perfect excuse for spending quality time together. Some of our favourites are the La Motte Brut, Rust en Vrede Estate and Rupert & Rothschild Baroness Nadine.

Love is in the air

Scent and fragrances are powerful memory triggers, so why not make new memories by giving perfume as a Valentine’s Day gift? To help you literally put romance in the air, we’ve chosen some alluring fragrances to give your loved one. For women, our top picks are Illicit Flower by Jimmy Choo which has a happy and vibrant scent, and 212 VIP Rosé by Carolina Herrera which is renowned for being seductive and glamourous. For men, Chanel Bleu de Chanel is a timeless classic, while Hugo Boss Unlimited has been described as invigorating – exactly like the feeling of falling in love.

It’s time for love

Ideally, you want to give a gift that is appreciated, makes an impression and lasts a lifetime. A watch ticks (see what we did there?) all these boxes. There’s a watch for every man and woman out there and they are great for any occasion – not just Valentine’s Day. They are traditional, affordable and suitable for work – they also eliminate any excuses for being late!

We just click

Cameras are a fantastic way to capture the special moments in your relationship. While we’re sure your partner totes a smartphone around, there’s nothing like having a proper camera to hand for that extra image quality and control. The GoPro Hero 6, with waterproofing and a wealth of useful accessories, is fantastic if your partner is a thrill-seeker (and of course they are – they chose you to spend their life with!)

Meanwhile the Nikon Coolpix is a DSLR camera that works well for everyday photography, whether you’re enjoying walks on the beach or picnics in the park.
