Kinds of Skin Tones
Determining what colours look best on you depends on which season your skin tone is: Winter, Summer, Autumn or Spring.
Both Winter tones and Summer tones are “cool” skin tones with bluish undertones. Summers may also show cold pink undertones.
Autumn and Spring tones are warm skin tones and have greenish or yellow undertones.
Skin Undertones and Seasons
The first step to determining your undertones is to look at the vein along your wrist. If they look blue you have cool undertones but if they look green, you have warm undertones.
If you have cool undertones you have either a Summer or Winter skin tone. If you have warm undertones you have either an Autumn or Spring skin tone.
Determine Your Type
Now, have a good look in the mirror. What colour are your eyes? And your hair? Try to be specific. Are their streaks of a different colour in your hair or eyes? Now look below and see which season you match according to your skin colour, hair and eyes. Then find out which colours you should be wearing and which you shouldn’t.
