For the third consecutive year bidorbuy.co.za is the best South African auction site

We do not like to sing our own praises…

Actually, we do, so here it is: bidorbuy is, once again, the best.

The site has been proclaimed the best South African e-commerce site in the auction category for 2008. This is the third year that the comparison site Jump Shopping is choosing South Africa’s  “the best” e-commerce companies, and the third year that bidorbuy.co.za is walking away with the award in its category.

More than ten thousand voters participated in this year’s awards nomination process. After the members of the public voted for their their favourite online stores, a shortlist was given to a panel of judges for the final selection of winners. The organisers say that the votes of the judges – all of them experts in their individual fields – count for 51 percent, and the votes of the public for 49 percent.

The Jump Shopping awards are designed to recognise and reward companies and organisations that have demonstrated excellence in their use of the Internet, with specific emphasis on e-commerce.
