Playstation Vita
If you enjoy playing games on your smartphone, but want more of a challenge, how about the new Playstation Vita dedicated handheld gaming machine?
The PS Vita is a follow-up to the PSP handheld, but where the PSP was panned by the critics, the PS Vita is much more rugged and user-friendly. The 5-inch OLED multi-touch screen is impressive and the quad-core processor gives plenty of grunt.
Samsung Super OLED TV
The Samsung Super OLED TV is all about a stunning graphical experience. The incredibly true-to-life colours and amazing clarity in both 2D and 3D literally has to be seen to be believed.
By controlling the light output at individual sub-pixel level, the OLED, organic LED, display delivers the ultimate TV experience. Even in the darkest of scenes the details are crystal clear and there is almost no blurring even in the fastest action scenes.
Sony Xperia S
The Xperia S is the first offering from Sony since the split with Ericsson and the smartphone includes new features not seen before in a Sony smartphone.
New to the Xperia S is a microSIM card slot, an HD display and a multicore chipset. Not content with this, Sony has added an impressive 12-megapixel camera and the phone comes with 32 GB of internal memory.
Windows 8
Although, according to unofficial sources, not due for release until October 2012, a pre-release version of Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operating system for personal computers was officially released at the end of February this year.
Windows 8 promises to be a much more radical release than its predecessor Windows 7. The user interface is based on the Metro design language used for the Windows Phone 7. It has been designed for a touch screen input with a tile based Start screen reminiscent of the Windows phone or Xbox 360.
Canon PowerShot G12
Canon’s G12 is the flagship model of the PowerShot range and is aimed at the photographer looking for a quality alternative to a full-sized DSLR.
With a 10-megapixel sensor, a 2.8-inch articulated screen and full manual control as per the G11 predecessor, the G12 also boasts an impressive array of new features including 720p HD video, Dynamic Range enhancement, Hybrid Image Stabilisation and new special effects.
