As we get older, we realise that real heroes don’t have fancy capes or gadgets, but rather they are the people we look up to. Although dads don’t have x-ray vision or time travelling abilities, they play a much more important role. bidorbuy is dedicating Father’s Day to all the fantastic father figures out there, who have touched the lives of those around them. We understand that dads come in all shapes and sizes – a father figure can be an adoptive father, stepfather, older brother, teacher or any older male figure that has influenced you in some way. 

This Father’s Day month we’ll be appreciating all father figures and we want to know about your first hero, and how he has contributed to your life. Through a series of “fill in the blanks” we’ll recognise the vital role father figures play and the positive influence they have in shaping lives. To enter the competition, follow the Father’s Day posts and complete the “fill in the blank” sentence, in a way that best represents your father figure, in the comment section.

How to enter the #Myfirsthero  competition:

• The bidorbuy #Myfirsthero competition begins on 15 June and ends on 19 June 2020.
• The competition takes place on bidorbuy’s social media platforms, namely Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
• To enter, look for our daily #Myfirsthero post, fill in the blank space and post your answer in the comments section. Remember to tag bidorbuy and include the hashtag #Myfirsthero in your comment! 
• There will be one winner every day from Monday 15 June to Friday 19 June 2020, randomly chosen from the entrants who posted an answer.  You may enter all five rounds of the competition. 
• Each winner will be awarded a R500 bobBucks voucher. The total value of bobBucks awarded will be R2500.
• The winners will be announced on the bidorbuy Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages and will also be notified via email. 
• The bobBucks vouchers can only be used on bidorbuy. These vouchers are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
