1. What do you sell on bidorbuy?

We stock and sell sporting goods and equipment, covering the main sport and recreation activities in South Africa. These range from rugby, cricket, soccer, hockey, netball, golf, squash, tennis to athletics.

2. Is selling on bidorbuy your business or your hobby?

We have our online store, which is our core business and bidorbuy is one of our avenues to sell more!

3. When did you start selling on bidorbuy and why?

We have been selling on bidorbuy for almost four years now. The decision to sell on bidorbuy was an easy one as we knew it was a great avenue to reach more customers and to sell more eventually.

4. What has your bidorbuy experience taught you?

It has taught us that customer service comes first! bidorbuy allows customers to review your company and this counts a lot. Good reviews equal more sales!

5. What is the biggest lesson you have learnt about selling online?

Selling online is not easy. Many people believe that one can simply put up an online store and customers will find you and sales will be made. This is not true at all. The biggest lesson I have learnt from selling online is that advertising, correct pricing and customer service must be up to scratch to succeed in this ever-growing online market in South Africa. Courier fees must also be on point, and if you can offer free delivery, do so! Another customer gained is more important than maximising profits when starting out as a new online store.

6. How do you promote your products on the bidorbuy platform?

We have a store on bidorbuy to boost our brand and we also promote our products in various ways. To get our products noticed, we enhance our listings by paying an extra fee to do so on the platform. This gives us more exposure to certain items. We also have great success listing our items on bidorbuy’s Deal of the Week.

7. What sets your company or products apart from the rest?

To be honest, our products are exactly the same as most sports stores. What sets us apart is our customer service and attention to detail. To date, we have had close to 500 reviews on bidorbuy and every single review a 100% positive rating. Not a single unhappy customer…yet!
