1. What do you sell on bidorbuy?

We sell branded clothing and footwear.

2. Is selling on bidorbuy your business or your hobby?

Selling on bidorbuy forms part of our business. We have a department for bidorbuy selling in addition to our physical stores.

3. When did you start selling on bidorbuy and why?

I created an account on bidorbuy back in 2010 just out of curiosity. I bought a few things for myself and then realised that bidorbuy is a solid and good platform to sell products on.

4. What has your bidorbuy experience taught you?

I have quickly learnt that people are searching for bargains and bidorbuy is a great platform to offer this. We have learnt that quality is everything so we do not compromise on the quality of our products. Overall, bidorbuy has been a great asset to our company.

5. What is the biggest lesson you have learnt selling online?

The key to success is to combine these three elements: you need the best product at the cheapest price with the best overall service. Once you are able to provide this, most people remain loyal to you and buy from you weekly.

6. How do you promote your products on the bidorbuy platform?

We mostly utilise Crazy Wednesday and Snap Friday R1 auctions to sell our products. We also use the optional enhancements on every listing. Most importantly, we have gained the trust of many people, which we believe is a form of advertising in itself. At Zone One we also rely on positive word of mouth to get our brand out there.

I have noticed that many of our customers are friends related to each other. I presume that  buyers who purchased from us liked our product, our pricing and our service so much that they spread the word to their family and friends – and we ended up with more customers.

7. What sets your company or products apart from the rest?

We have direct accounts with a number of big brands in the fashion industry, which means that we are able to sell branded items daily, both online and in our four physical stores. Not only do we sell great quality items, we also put on auction branded products that many other sellers don’t have. Our goal is to increase our auction count to about 800 to 1000 listings per month.
