One of the simplest and most cost-effective ways to get additional exposure for your products on bidorbuy is to list them in two categories.

All you need to do is create your listing as you usually do, choosing the most suitable category for it. After uploading the images and then filling in the title and the description, scroll down to the Select Optional Enhancements section and tick the box next to Promotional category listing. Navigate through the choices until you land on the most appropriate second category for your product.

For example, you may list a mirror with a mosaic frame in this primary category:

• Crafts – Finished Crafts – Finished Mosaic & Glass Crafts

You may also list the same item in this promotional secondary category:

• Home & Living – Home Décor – Mirrors

Important: To list it in two categories, your item must be suitable for both. In our example, a mirror with a mosaic frame can be considered both as a finished craft object and as a decorative item for the home. Also, if the categories have two different success fees the higher fee will be charged on the sale.

The fee for listing in the second category is currently R10. (See all enhancement fees.) And that is not a lot to pay for featuring in two separate categories, thus increasing the chances of your product being seen and bought!

But that is not all. Something quite wonderful happens when you enhance the item you listed in two categories with two additional options, the Category Page Featured Listing and Priority Listing.

Let’s say that you decided to enhance a mirror with a mosaic frame by ticking the Category Page Featured Listing and Priority Listing enhancement options. Since the mirror is listed in two categories (crafts and home and living), it will be displayed as a category featured (or featured for short) and as a priority in both categories. All that for only R25!
