The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has announced that post office workers may be on strike for a long time – until their demands, centred on wage increases and salaries structure, are met.

South African Post Office representatives say they have contingency plans to ease the effects of the strike. On the other hand, the Union representatives are confident that the strike will have a strong impact. CWU is the only union within the Post Office and expects that about 14, 000 post office workers will join the strike.

By all appearances, bidorbuy sellers and buyers will have to brace themselves for disruptions and delays in the delivery chain. Extra patience is required!
