Who doesn’t like healthy, gorgeous, glossy hair?

Having beautiful hair not only boosts our self esteem and confidence it also makes us look and feel great. Your hair depends on maintaining a well balanced diet and, as the saying  goes, “You are what you eat!”

Feed your hair from within with these top 5 foods:

Eggs

Biotin and Protein found in eggs promote scalp health and hair growth. Have it boiled or fried, served on toast, toss it in a salad or have it as an accompaniment to a meal.

Flax seeds

For vibrant hair, a generous helping of flax seeds will do you good. High in Lignin and Omega-3, it strengthens and protects against hair loss. Have it with your favourite breakfast cereal or on its own as a pre-lunch time snack.

Salmon

High in Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin B12 and Iron, it strengthens and maintains healthy hair, promotes moisture and prevents hair loss. You can try it grilled or fresh for breakfast, lunch or dinner with a side helping of leafy greens.

Oysters

Oysters are full of Zinc, an antioxidant which is excellent for keeping hair looking naturally healthy. A lack of Zinc can lead to a dry, itchy and flaky scalp.

Blueberries

Blueberries are rich in Vitamin C, which supports the blood vessels that feed your follicles. A lack of Vitamin C can lead to hair breakage. Eat blueberries on their own or add them to your salad.
