Make the most of the Easter holidays

Easter is coming…

The bunny is busy hiding eggs, but if you’re a parent, you might be slightly dreading the prospect of keeping your kids entertained for a couple of weeks. Fortunately, Bob Shop is here to help with our great range of Easter games for kids.

It’s always tempting to relax your rules about screen time and let your kids hang out on YouTube all day, but if you’re looking for something a little more imaginative or creative to stimulate those busy little brains, read on!

A crafty solution to boredom

Finding glitter everywhere forever is a small price to pay for a few hours of peace and quiet – which is exactly what crafting offers. With crafting supplies from Bob Shop, the only limit to what youngsters can make is their imagination. Paper and crayons are a good place to start, while older kids will enjoy the creative potential of loom bands, finger or face paints, and paint by numbers

You can never have too much glue or too many felt tips, and scissors always come in handy (as long as nobody runs with them!).

You’re never bored with a board game

If you haven’t played board games since you were a kid yourself, you might be surprised at how far these traditional entertainment options have come. Whether you opt for modern versions of the classics you remember, or look out for the kind of brain teasers that will perplex kids (and give them a real sense of pride when they solve them), there are endless options for Easter games on Bob Shop.

Make it, break it, make it again

Construction toys can be something new every day, while all-time favourites like playdough have lost none of their charm. If you celebrate Easter, inspire your kids to make greetings cards for family and friends, or they can build up a stock of birthday cards for the rest of the year.

Learn a new skill

Cooking really appeals to kids – it’s enjoyably messy and the results are delicious (if sometimes a little misshapen). Buy them some mini-utensils, pots and pans and start with simple recipes like cookies or muffins, and by the end of the Easter holiday they could be giving you a night off from making dinner.

Little green fingers

Gardening is another hobby that kids seem to have an affinity for – shop for autumn seeds and age-appropriate garden tools on Bob Shop and let your kids discover the wonder of new life emerging from the soil. Fast-growing, colourful and hardy plants are best – but you may find that you’re the one left holding the watering can when school restarts.

Outdoor Easter games for kids

Summer hasn’t faded completely, so there is plenty of opportunity to alleviate boredom by encouraging your kids to play outside. Something as simple as a soccer ball or bat and ball can be used for conventional games, or let your children invent new ones that only they know the rules to.

With the right kids’ games, there’s no reason for the holidays to be challenging for you or your children – in fact, you’ll all be having so much fun that Easter will simply fly by.
