You must remember her from  when she went Chasing Pavements on her first album 19, published in 2008. Then she moved onto Rolling in the Deep with her second album 21, published in 2011.

Then Adele disappeared for a while.

Only to return this year with her third album, 25…

…just in time to restore our faith in popular music as an art form and an industry.

25 has wowed both the public and the critics. Released on 20 November 2015, it is selling in massive numbers. As many as 3.38 million copies were sold during the first week. That already makes 25 the second-highest selling album of the past 10 years, challenging the top position held by…Adele’s previous album, 21.

The staggering sales figures could lead one to conclude that it’s the lack of good music that’s been killing the sales of CDs, and not downloading or streaming.  Indeed, many reviewers say that 25 has had a big impact on the music industry by encouraging the public to return to buying physical copies.

25 took a long time to write. By some accounts, the early creative stages can be traced all the way to February 2013. The album consists of eleven tracks: Hello, Send My Love (To Your New Lover), I Miss You, When We Were Young, Remedy, Water Under the Bridge, River Lea, Love in the Dark, Million Years Ago, All I Ask and Sweetest Devotion.
