Don’t know what to watch this weekend?
We did some research, found five movies that were the most popular downloads during 2012, located them on bidorbuy, and are glad to serve to you, on a silver platter, with the following fare:
Project X: First, it was the movie imitating life. Than, it was life imitating the movie. Then the whole thing became a major scare for neighbourhoods worldwide: a teenage mega party that gets out of control. This cult flick is not for the faint hearted, so, parents, brace yourselves!
The cast is a bunch of unknowns and the movie was shot on a paltry budget from a first-person point of view with a shaky camera, reminiscent of The Blair Witch Project.
Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol: The number four instalment of the Mission Impossible series involves a race against time to track down a dangerous terrorist who has gained access to Russian nuclear launch codes. There’s lots of action and destruction, with some severe damage to the Kremlin.
The movie stars Tom Cruise (of course) and the chase unfolds across half the world: Budapest, Moscow, Dubai, Mumbai…
The Dark Knight Rises: The Batman trilogy finale has been called a superhero film without a superhero. At the opening of the story, Batman has disappeared, and his alter ego Bruce Wayne is a recluse, but with Gotham in danger the superhero has to make a comeback. Both the critics and the audiences seem to agree that this film is a treat.
The cast includes Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne (Batman), Michael Caine, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, etc.
The Avengers: Another superhero movie. This time, it’s a team of superheroes – Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow – who come together to save the Earth. The special effects are amazing and the Marvel comic book fans are in for a treat. It is the sixth instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Robert Downey, Jr. is the Iron Man, Chris Evans is Captain America, Mark Ruffalo is Hulk, Chris Hemsworth is Thor, Scarlett Johansson is Black Widow, Jeremy Renner is Hawkeye, and Tom Hiddleston is the evil Loki.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows: Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are charged with outwitting the evil Professor Moriarty, who always seems to be one step ahead. If you liked the first part, you may safely go for this sequel.
The movie stars Robert Downey, Jr. as Sherlock Holmes, Jude Law as Dr. John Watson and Jared Harris as Professor James Moriarty.
