Think before you drink
Start by focusing on the positives of a few weeks of not drinking alcohol. You’ll almost certainly save money, which is always an important consideration in January. If you got paid early in December, you’ll know just how long January can be – that next payday still seems weeks away!
Then there are the health benefits: you won’t risk waking up with a headache, and you can give your liver a bit of a break after all the holiday season festivities.
Perhaps you feel that you need a little extra confidence to chat to new people or take to the dance floor? Honestly, you do not – just be yourself and you can light up any venue. You can still be the life and soul of the party without alcohol, and best of all, you’ll remember exactly what you said and did all evening. That’s a great way to avoid potential embarrassment on social media the morning after.

Stay safe
Not drinking is also potentially a less risky option – if you stick to non-alcoholic drinks, you can drive home safely and legally after a long lunch or night out, and also make sure your friends or colleagues are safe, too. No more wondering if you might be close to the limit as you slow down for a police roadblock!
On-trend mocktails
With more and more people choosing not to drink, bars and bartenders have and created all sorts of delicious and refreshing “mocktails” that look and even taste just like the real thing.
