The history of One Direction
The English-Irish boy band; One Direction, owes its success largely to the incredible industry prowess of Simon Cowell. Featured originally as solo artists in British X Factor in 2010, each member of One Direction is more than capable of holding their own on stage and in the recording studio.

The former White Eskimo band member, Harry Edward Styles, was born on the 1st of February 1994. He has found musical inspiration in The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Kings of Leon, Coldplay and Foster the People.
Louis Tomlinson
Singer-songwriter and actor; Louis William Tomlinson was born on the 24th of December 1991. Inspired by Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran. At the age of 11 he took acting lessons and played small parts on the British TV series, If I Had You and Waterloo Road.
Niall Horan
The boy-next-door; Niall James Horan was born on the 13th of September 1993. Dean Martin, Michael Bublé and Frank Sinatra are among his musical heroes, but he also enjoys the The Script, The Eagles and Bon Jovi.
Zayn Malik
Zayn Malik known affectionately as the ‘bad boy’, mischievous Zain Javadd Malik was born on the 12th of January 1993. In his X Factor audition, the R&B inspired singer sang ‘Let Me Love You’ by Mario. He is also a fan of Bruno Mars and supporter of the Pakistan national cricket team.
Liam Payne
The One Direction singer-songwriter was born on the 29th of August 1993 Liam James Payne is one of many who suffered bullying in school. He coped by finding and outlet in the sport of boxing. He greatly admires both former NSYNC member Justin Timberlake and former Take That member Gary Barlow.
