bobBucks is the newest innovation on bidorbuy.

It was introduced to general public yesterday, on 26 June, at about 15:45, by placing this image: (only bigger) on the bidorbuy page on Facebook.

Just like that. No explanations, no hits, nothing whatsoever.

Then we at bob HQ sat and watched. And watched some more. Less than an hour later, our unblinking surveillance was rewarded: the code from the image was used to buy goods on bidorbuy!

Thus the R100 voucher (bobBucks in bidorbuy speak) number RXWZ-EQCL-5AHN made history by becoming the first officially redeemed voucher on bidorbuy.co.za.

In near future, you will be able to buy them and give them as a gift. However, for the time being only the bob HQ can hand out bobBucks, as competition prize, or just as a random reward to bidorbuyers.

So, be alert. Every now and then, a strange looking sequence of letters and number may turn up when you least expect it. On the bidorbuy page on Facebook (like us!).  Among the @bidorbuy_co_za tweets (follow us!). On the bidorbuy Pinterest page (pin us!). In this blog (read us!). The possibilities are endless.

One more thing: bobBucks can be redeemed only with sellers who accept bobPay-EFT. (Hint, hint: sellers, this is one more reason for you to offer bobPay-EFT to your customers as one of your payment methods!)
