With Christmas done and dusted and the approach of the New Year only 3 days away, bidorbuy has one last SUPA announcement to share with all users for the year of 2007;
The winners of the Christmas Catalogue Happy Holiday Hamper as well as the sellers top Christmas listing competition.
At the start of November and ending on December 18th bidorbuy rolled out with our second and even more successful Christmas catalogue to end the year off with a BOOM.
With listings falling into 4 different categories, namely; Gifts for Him, Gifts for Her, Gifts for Kids as well as Christmas Accessories, sellers were spoilt for choice when it came to listing their Christmas stock.
The success of the catalogue was dependant on the number of listings that sellers placed in the catalogue and in return sellers were rewarded with additional exposure to their listings through banner marketing on bidorbuy and a weekly dedicated catalogue mailer highlighting items from the catalogue.
From inception to its close, the Christmas catalogue has boasted a total of 2,094 number of listings of which the total sales revenue was valued at R1, 339,657.70
Along with the excitement around the Christmas catalogue bidorbuy created a competition for all site users as well as a challenge for sellers listing in the Christmas catalogue.
All bidorbuy users were invited to enter their details into a random lucky draw via a classified listing hidden within one of the Christmas catalogues sub categories.
The hamper is valued at R500 and is comprised of all things “Christmassyâ€.
The Sellers challenge was a simple yet appealing one in that the seller who listed the most items in the Christmas catalogue would have his or her listing fees, generated from the catalogue listings, slashed in half.
A big 2007 Congratulations goes to Mahomed G H Jogiat of KZN who takes home the Happy Holiday Hamper valued at R500 and to Elize Human of Gauteng who beat the runner up seller by 100 listings and listed a total of 280 Christmas Catalogue items. Your bidorbuy account will be refunded 50% of your total Christmas catalogue listing fees.
And with that ending off all of bidorbuy’s 2007 competitions we would like to thank all sellers and all users of the bidorbuy website for your unwavering support and shared passion for South Africa’s largest online marketplace.
We hope you are as excited about 2008’s upcoming promotions, catalogues and competitions which promise to be even bigger and better than this year’s assortment.
